The organization "Parentless Children's Committee" was established in 1988 by the "Union for Self- Determination" party, as a chariy committee, to assist refugees just after the tragic events in Sumgait.

Later, the aftermath of the earthquake on December 7, 1988, our committee fixed it's attention on the care of orphans.

In 1991 the committee was registered as a separate charitable organization, named "Parentless Children's Fund". Since December 28, 2000 the organization was renamed to "Parentless Children's Committee".
